Brian Carlos has always had a need to create. This has taken the form of many diverse things from woodworking, to painting and in general, building things.

He has combined and melded his love for music and painting with his love for woodworking, to develop the wooden mosaics for which he has become known. When a song speaks to him he turns it into a new piece of art.

His technique involves cutting out designs from sheets of plywood, then meticulously sanding, painting, varnishing and putting the pieces back together. The result—a thought provoking immersive style of art with colours and themes that represent the music, and can be found brightening walls of homes and businesses.

When Brian isn't busy in the studio, he spends his time with his family, works on house renovations, and helps his wife, Kimberley, with her garden. He lives with his wife, their dog Bowser on a rural farm in Halton, Ontario
